Thabeet has been impressive to start his sophomore season,
after making the all Big East rookie team last season.
Averaging almost 14 points and 10 rebounds a game for the
Huskies, Thabeet is seemingly getting more adjusted to the
college game. With his size, speed and strength he is
tough prospect to pass up on draft day.
Ugly looking jump shot can only be comparable to former
Florida Gator Joakim Noah. Neither will be offensive threat
really at NBA level, but nonetheless both should have
productive careers. Needs to work on passing from the
high post to cutting teammates, passes are a little off with
timing. Could be lack of vision or lack of knowledge of
the game. Rarely does he turn the ball over however,
uncommon for a big man to have such nice hands.
Very uncommon to see him leave his feet defensively, which
makes it hard to get around him since he is so tall and has
great quickness in the post. Getting better and better as a
one-on-one defender in the low post, although some added
time in weight room should help his confidence to
dominate defensively.
